Stayed one night and it was recently redone and very comfortable. The community spaces felt like a comfortable home. Gerard and Vicki were friendly, kind, helpful, I can’t say enough good things about them. I needed to do laundry ($10 to wash and dry) and Vicky brought it up to me when it was done. One thing needed more drying and she graciously put it back in the dryer and brought it up to me again. Would have loved to stay longer and explore the beautiful Arthur’s Pass area.

It’s very close to the town center with supermarkets. And you can visit great places from here. A tip is the nearby short Minnehaha walk. Here you can see glowworms during night.

When i asked about elevator and lower bunk, She put me in a room on the main floor in a bottom bunk and close to a restroom. As a senior, I really appreciate that she was so considerate.

Convenient location near train / bus station.

The kitchen has a great work space, fridges,etc. They are working at updating the older building... it used to be a rectory, it is gorgeous. I would definitely stay there again, towels need to be rented.
