Meiringen - Hasliberg is a very family-friendly winter ski resor. In summer Meiringen offers a good starting point for hikes in the area of the Hasliberg, the Alpbach Gorge, the Rosenlaui glacier and the neighboring Jungfrau region. Meiringen is also known as Sherlock Holmes Village, as Sherlock Holmes was thrown into the Alpbach Falls by Dr. Ing. Moriarti and then disappeared.
