The breakfast was served in a room full of character. Fresh oranges were available to juice and there were fresh croissants and bread each morning.

My room was an attic type room with ensuite facilities! The overall size was perfect for my stay ! The breakfast was enough for my needs as I was unable to finish what was on offer ! The room had a kettle which allowed me to make coffee or tea !

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le style très "cosy" et la relation très chaleureuse de nos hôtes. Le jardin très particulier que nous avons adoré est digne d'un décor fantastique.

Our house, built in 1700, is characterised by a "shabby chic" or "bourgeois bohemian" style built around family heirlooms and charming finds from the many antique shops in the region for over 20 years. If you like Zen, minimalist and standardised atmospheres ... Maison Marthe is not for you! But, for lovers of originality and refinement from across the Channel (Elizabeth is British), Maison Marthe with its English garden will offer you a haven of calm and tranquility in the heart of Saint Sauveur-en-Puisaye, birthplace of the famous author Colette. Like Colette who loved her animals, we have 3 cats (discreet), a senior English bulldog and ... a parrot!
Maison Marthe is also the two of us ... Guy is a musician, lyricist and writer and me, who settled in Paris over 40 years ago where I worked in fashion before opening my PR agency . We are curious by nature, travellers, comfortable in any situation and with anybody. Bilingual English-French, we like to share our experiences, but most importat, we enjoy listening to our guests.
