About this property

The Embankment Hotel is in a beautiful location beside the River Ouse. Only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, this riverside setting overlooks quiet gardens and a Victorian bridge. The Embankment has a friendly pub and a dining area with a view of the Ouse. Food is served all day and drinks include real ales, wines and speciality coffees. On sunnier days you can sit outside with an afternoon cream tea. A short stroll from the Embankment Hotel is the Bedford Museum, and the award-winning Cecil Higgins Art Gallery. All bedrooms all en suite and have telephone and television. The Embankment Hotel was founded in 1891 by the Castle Brewery.

“Lovely building and great location y the river. Small car park but room on the street by the river bank directly opposite. Great staff and evening meal as well as breakfast. Can can busy with locals eating and drinking so book a table for dinner.”
