It features a large dining room with original beams, a cosy sitting room with Chesterfield sofas, smart TV, and an inglenook fireplace. Sleeps 6 in two king bedrooms plus a double bunk room. We are excited to share our beautiful and unique property with you. You will be based in the heart of Rothbury. Rothbury is a beautiful historic market town, the house location allows you to stroll from the front door to the independent delicatessens and real Northumbrian pubs and bars. The coquet river is a 2 minute walk from the property for fishing fanatics. Plenty of scenic walks can be enjoyed straight from the front door. A 5 minute drive to the golf course, 2 minute drive to Cragside Gardens. 40 minutes drive to Northumberland's Scenic Coastline. I live in the local area and if I can help you during your stay I will do my best to help.
Rothbury is at the heart of Northumberland’s countryside. This traditional market town is a peaceful and picturesque haven, which is built of the same mellow sandstone as the rolling hills that surround it. Enjoy the scenery with the many walking and cycling routes around the town, and take in the beautiful River Coquet meandering through the centre. Due to its location, Rothbury is an ideal base for exploring Northumberland and all it has to offer, including Simonside Hills, the Cheviot Hills, and Northumberland National Park. Once you’ve appreciated the landscape and the wildlife, you can always relax at the many shops, pubs, and tea rooms on Rothbury’s bustling high street. On a sunny day enjoy watching the world go by on the village green. Browse the shops selling Northumbrian crafts from local artists. For history enthusiasts, Cragend Farm Historic Farm Tours offer a fascinating glimpse into Victorian agricultural innovation and life on a working farm. Located just a short drive from Rothbury, Cragend Farm showcases unique historic features, including a Grade II* listed silo and impressive machinery designed by Lord Armstrong himself.
