Decorated in Mediterranean style and built in 1866, this hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Torquay and offers stunning bay views, large bright rooms, swimming pools and a health club. The Imperial Hotel sits on top of a cliff and overlooks Torquay and the yachts on the water. The beach, Torre Abbey and English Riviera Centre are all within walking distance. This 4-star hotel offers a gym, spa, sun loungers, sauna and hot tub. Squash and tennis courts are available, and massages and treatments can be booked. Exquisite cuisine is served in the AA-rosette Regatta restaurant, which also offers fine wines and panoramic views of Torbay. Light snacks are available in the conservatory and Britannia Bar. Rooms are bright and airy, and have seating areas with armchairs and coffee tables.

The fine print
Please note that there is a smart-casual dress code in the hotel restaurant.

The pool is sometimes used for swimming lessons (check for times). Guests can still use the pool at these times. Children are welcome to use the swimming pool until 19.30. The outdoor pool is heated and accessible at the weekends throughout the summer months and is weather dependent.
If guests wish to dine in the restaurant for an evening meal dinner reservations are required. Please note that children aged 5 and over will be charged for breakfast and dinner as taken if they are not on an inclusive package.
Guests will be required to present the payment card used to make the reservation upon check in. Failure to present the original card will result in the deposit payment being refunded back to the original card and a new charge being taken from the card presented at the hotel.
If guest wishes to pay with cash, photo ID is required, either a passport or drivers licence. This must be presented alongside the payment card used to reserve the room.
Dogs are only allowed permitted in certain rooms (sea facing and on the garden level), this is subject to availability and by prior arrangement. You must contact the property if you wish to bring a dog; there is an additional charge if you are bringing a dog.
