Property information

Tucked away in the peaceful grounds of a historic Burgate home, The Hideaway is a cosy, one-bedroom wooden lodge offering a warm and welcoming base on the edge of the New Forest National Park. Recently refurbished with a charming tongue-and-groove pine interior, it blends homely comfort with modern convenience. The bright double bedroom has space for a travel cot if needed, while the living and dining room features a comfortable double sofa bed and Freeview TV for relaxing evenings. A fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering easy, and the bathroom includes a bath with shower over. Outside, guests can enjoy a private sitting area with picnic table and chairs, as well as access to the shared one-acre garden.

The Hideaway is perfectly placed for exploring the New Forest, with scenic footpaths starting just across the road and cycling routes easily accessible. The nearby market town of Fordingbridge, with its shops, cafés, and riverside walks along the Avon, is just a mile away. Popular attractions within easy reach include the New Forest Water Park, Moors Valley Country Park, Beaulieu Motor Museum, and the cathedral city of Salisbury. Guests can also venture to the coast for days out in Bournemouth, Christchurch Harbour, or the Jurassic Coast, or visit iconic landmarks such as Stonehenge.
