A wide columned entrance welcomes visitors to this attractive, stone-built hotel standing in 5 acres of beautiful grounds in Stanton Saint Quintin, near the city of Bath and within the famous Cotswolds. The hotel is close to junction 17 of the M4. The house was once owned by Lord Burghley, chief minister to Queen Elizabeth I, and was rebuilt in 1840. Modern facilities and comforts combine easily and unobtrusively with those of the past, which include magnificent Tudor fireplaces and stone flooring. The hotel's bedrooms with attached bathroom are spacious and individually designed with very comfortable furniture.
