Baileys was established in 1985 by Kevin Bailey who had been working in the village as the manager for another Estate Agency since 1977. A department specialising in Holiday Rentals was created as there is a huge demand for this due to the areas beautiful beaches, Chichester Harbour and the lovely surrounding countryside. West Wittering is situated on the coast 6 miles south of the Cathedral City of Chichester. Chichester has a main line railway station which provides a regular service to London Victoria in about 1 hour 45 minutes and to Gatwick in about 1 hour 5 minutes. An alternative, slightly faster rail service to London is also available via Havant in about 1 hour 20 minutes to London Waterloo. Brighton, Portsmouth and Southampton are all easily reached along the coast. The area is well served from Chichester with the A27 (M27) coastal route and A3 to London.
