Stayed in the twin room featured so a double & single bed was a bonus! Good size but cosy room with all the amenities required and shower with good pressure. Even had a coffee machine! Quick walking distance to all the places we wanted to go in...

Company information

We are a family run business and pride ourselves on our small and friendly team. Dave & Lisa took over the tenancy in 2014 and during this time have enjoyed meeting the many guests that pass through the town, as well as making many friends from the welcoming locals. Dave spent 16 years serving in the Devon & Dorset regiment before moving into hospitality 12 years ago and has since managed many pubs in the South West Region. Lisa has her own career but enjoys any spare time meeting the guests and serving behind the bar.

Property information

The Coach & Horses is a 500 year old coaching Inn with a lot of history and stories to tell. A recent upgrade throughout has retained the character of the building whilst providing modern day comforts. Sitting at the top end of town, just down the hill from the racecourse, it is an ideal place to stay and enjoy the delights that Chepstow and the Wye Valley has to offer. With a 5 minute walk down the hill, you can visit the Castle and shops, as well as taking a stroll along the riverbank. We have 2 large family rooms which can accommodate 2 children plus a travel cot.

Neighbourhood information

The Coach and Horses is an ideal base to explore the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley, as well as the picturesque villages of Monmouthshire.
