West Wittering is situated on the coast 6 miles south of the Cathedral City of Chichester and is on the edge of Chichester Harbour, an extensive 74km2 of inland and coastal habitat which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The local area of West Wittering, East Wittering and Bracklesham Bay has pebble and sand beaches, and there are sand dunes, salt marshes and flowing tides at East Head. West Wittering has a local shop, pub and cafe, while the excellent shops and facilities in East Wittering include a health centre, chemists and supermarkets. It is about 1.5 mile drive between East and West Wittering, or a 20 minute walk along the beach. Activities nearby Watersports and sailing at Chichester Marina and other local coastal spots.
