We are a Victorian Grade II listed property. All our rooms are full of period character. We have nine en-suite guest bedrooms and breakfast is served between 8.30 and 9am. Check in is from 3pm to 7pm and check out is 10am.

Bedrooms are accessed by staircase only. Some bedrooms are situated on the second and third floors. Car parking is managed on a first come, first served basis. We offer seven car parking spaces on our private car park and free car parking permits for use on Queens Parade. (Please note, we cannot guarantee there will be spaces available on the road). Formerly a Victorian merchants house the Whiteley is Grade II listed and was built in 1843. The building is situated overlooking Scarborough's North Bay with magnificent sea views. Breakfast is served between 8.30 am and 9am. We provide a generous home cooked breakfast, using locally sourced ingredients, a local butchers sausages and thick cut bacon, North Yorkshire free range eggs direct from the farm and North Yorkshire black pudding. We offer an alternative breakfast of smoked salmon with English muffin and North Yorkshire free range eggs and a full vegetarian breakfast. Cereals, fruit, juices, yoghurts and toast. The Whiteley offers a sea view breakfast room, colourful garden with seating on North Marine Road and sea view guest lounge.

The Whiteley is a few minutes walk from the Open Air Theatre (with Sky Trail, Water Walking Balls and pedalo boats for children), Peasholm Park and cafe, the North Bay Railway and Scarborough Cricket Ground. We are only a short walk from Scarborough Castle, Sealife Scarborough and the town centre. There are a number of coffee/tea shops and ice cream shops along the North Bay. There are also several restaurants on the North Bay within walking distance. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Whitby and the historic city of York, Castle Howard. Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo, Eden Camp, English Heritage and National Trust sites (e.g. Helmsley Castle, Pickering Castle, Whitby Abbey and Rievaulx Abbey), RSPB sites (e.g. Bempton Cliffs), stately homes (e.g. Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens), the picturesque villages of Thornton-le-Dale and Hutton-le-Hole are all within a short drive. The North York Moors, Dalby Forest and Raincliffe Woods are nearby. The Yorkshire Waterpark (water sports and activities) is a 15 minute drive away.
