I have always had a passion for the great outdoors, and this village offers some of the best experiences for those who share my interests. Whether you're an avid skier, an enthusiastic hiker, or someone who loves to garden, you'll find something here that speaks to your heart.
During the winter months, the nearby ski slopes provide the perfect opportunity for skiing and snowboarding. The crisp mountain air and pristine snow create an idyllic setting for both beginners and experienced skiers alike. I personally enjoy hitting the slopes whenever I can, and I'm always happy to share tips on the best trails and local spots.
For those who prefer to explore on foot, the hiking trails around the village are truly spectacular. The paths wind through lush forests, past sparkling streams, and up to breathtaking viewpoints. Hiking is one of my favorite ways to connect with nature, and I can recommend some of my favorite trails for you to explore.
In addition to the adventurous activities, I also find joy in the tranquility of gardening. The village gardens, including my own, are filled with vibrant flowers and fresh vegetables. If you're interested, I'd love to show you around and share some gardening tips or even some fresh produce from my garden.
We hope you find our maisonettes to be a cozy and relaxing home base for all your adventures. If you have any questions or need any recommendations, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Welcome to our mountain village, and happy exploring!

Kalavryta is a mountainous town in the Achaia Prefecture. It is built at an altitude of approximately 735 meters at the foothills of the Aroania Mountains (Chelmos). It is one of the most important centers of the prefecture and one of the most significant settlements in the mountainous Peloponnese.
The area has a rich history as it played an active role in the Greek War of Independence in 1821 and was one of the regions in Greece that experienced the harshest Nazi German reprisals and atrocities during the Occupation.
The Monastery of Agia Lavra, located 5 kilometers from the town, is linked to the Greek War of Independence in 1821.
You can visit the Municipal Museum of the Kalavryta Holocaust and the Monument of the Executed in memory of the 1943 holocaust during World War II.
Also visit the impressive Monastery of Mega Spilaio, which is considered the oldest in Greece. The cave opens onto a nearly vertical rock face 120 meters high, above the steep gorge of the Vouraikos River.
Explore a rare natural wonder, the Cave of Lakes, located at the foothills of Chelmos. Marvelous stalactites and stalagmites ignite the imagination, while 13 lakes succeed one another.
Winter sports enthusiasts will surely know the modern ski resort of Chelmos, which features 12 slopes, 7 lifts, a snowboard park, and frequently hosts parties and events.
You can also hike the section of the European path E4 (from Kalavryta to Kato Lousoi–Planitero–Armpouna–Agios Nikolaos–Tourlada–Krinofyta), hike down the Vouraikos Gorge, go mountaineering on Chelmos, rock climbing, take a 4x4 drive to Lake Tsivlou, or enjoy mountain biking.
One thing is certain, Kalavryta will not leave you indifferent.
