I spent several years in Kos and the impact of tourism on the island could not leave me unimpaired.
I think Kalamata is a future destination and Verga is a blessed place. It reminds Lake Como in northern Italy but makes it better the endless blue of the sky and the sea that unites.
It reminds me of Mr. Elytis in "My God how much blue you spend, not to see you!"
There are rural activities and events like, for example, the harvest of olives, oregano, potatoes, rice, honey production etc.
We will be glad to direct you or accompany you to any excursions you may have.
