Property information

Spend the night on the flanks of an imposing Byzantine fortress gazing over the rooftops towards the distant horizon. This is a truly unique medieval hill house at the highest point of the kastro, with outstanding panoramic ocean views to the horizon and Cavo Malea to the south. It sleeps 7 in three bedrooms and an extra person in a sofa bed in the living room, and is easily accessible thanks to its position in the town. Furthermore it boasts a lush private garden built over 3 terraces (a rare feature), making summer evenings nice and cool. After a day's sightseeing you can relax and take in the awe-inspiring views both day and night. We needn't say any more about this dream property, the pictures speak for themselves...

From the 10th century AD, the town developed into an important trade and maritime centre. The fortress has withstood countless invasions and seiges over the centuries, earning it the nickname 'Gibraltar of the East'. Today it is one of the most picturesque places in Greece, and that's saying something!
