This beautiful house is a perfect base for all your adventures at Bali, especially near Ubud. Made is a talented professional cook and she can make delicious special food upon requests. This guesthouse also has a shady front porch, with a king-sized spacious bedroom, a delicate bathroom with hot and cold water, AC and fast wi-fi. About The space. In a traditional Balinese family compound, this guesthouse is built by the host, Royen, himself. The guests may access the compound's kitchen complete with necessary equipment. The central open house, Bale Dangin, is a nice place to practice Yoga. Guests can also rent motorbike from us, or engage us for airport transfers at a nominal fee.

My name is Made Rai, and friends call me Kadek. I am born in 1976 and have a husband, Royen (born 1977), and a daughter Rora (born 2016), and a son Dodik (born 1993). We live in Batuan and have a small restaurant named D'Waroeng in Ubud where I run cooking classes too, focusing on true Authentic Balinese foods. You are welcome to attend my cooking classes and/or I can also customized a special cooking classes for you. My profession is a cook, and I love to express myself through cooking, making delicious cuisines and teaching people how to cook too. I love engaging with people from all over the world and all walks of lives, learn fusion cooking and take care of my family, restaurant, and house. I absolutely also love to teach others how to make traditional Balinese food in my cooking classes. Before this, I have worked as a chef in a 5-star hotel. I was also invited to travel to Japan to conduct cooking classes for a group and learnt how to make Japanese food. I focus on using quality, fresh and organic produce with all my dishes, all natural and no MSG or synthetic flavors used. It is my utmost joy and priority to provide an authentic quality experience to my guests' satisfaction.

Batuan is in the center of everything. A perfect place to stay when you want to experience true Balinese culture : Art, Handicrafts, Traditions, Sea, Ubud, Antiques etc. Batuan is famous for original Balinese arts and woodcraft. Within a few minutes walk, you get to Sukawati Art Market and also the open rice field behind the small lane. Our guesthouse is quiet away from the main road, yet it's near to Ubud city by 15min on bike, and Sanur/Saba beach by 15 min by bike/car too. Within 5 minute walk is the Batuan temple - where all of us gather during ceremonies.
