Company information

Josie is our onsite yoga instructor and has spent many years in Venezuela & Colombia leading sessions including Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga. Brendan leads outdoor activities to explore and enjoy Valentia Island. We have a fleet of bikes including e-bikes and of course there are wonderful nature walks, hikes and run options to enjoy this wild and beautiful island.

Property information

Valentia Island Escape is a charming retreat centre with calm views to the mountains and water. We have a wide range of unique accommodation including five cosy retro caravans, a luxurious double decker bus, a unique BoatHouse on land, and an idyllic two-story farmhouse with mature gardens. The heart of our retreat centre is a wonderful 200-year old Stone Cottage, renovated with love and style. This is the hub of our site.

Neighbourhood information

Valentia Island is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way and boasts the most westerly harbour in Europe, features on shipping forecasts and is a staging posts for boat trips to visit the UNESCO Skellig Rocks. It is accessible by ferry from Reenard Point outside Cahirciveen during the summer OR by land bridge from picturesque Portmagee year round. Cromwell Point lighthouse features in Failte Ireland 'Irish Lighthouses' and the Transatlantic Cable Station is another visitor attraction.
