Nestled in the green carpet in the Idukki range is your home away from home when you travel to Thekkady. Misty green offers you a sense of being a part of the Idukki ecosystem. Located close to the Thekkady Lake road, Misty green offers you a wide range of options for your holiday. While we believe in providing you all the amenities required for the comfort of your stay, we strongly believe in giving you a sense of being at home. Misty green staff will treat you to some exquisite Kerala cuisines during your stay with us. All our rooms have Television sets as to keep your window to the world open. When you are here, explore the wide range of wildlife at the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (32 KM), the Mathikettan Shola national park (77Km) or the Carmelagiri Elephant Park (108 Km). Head to the calmness at the Periyar Boat Landing point (7Km) . You could also choose from the recreational activities which is walkable distance, for enthusiasts in Kathakali program, experience the Kalaripayattu up close, ride the gentle giants on our elephant safaris, or experience a healing touch with the ayurvedic massages.
We stay close to the most famous Periyar Tiger Reserve and you have a direct view of Bamboo forest from our homestay. If you like to go for a walk, you can enjoy the calm and quite ambience of the green meadows and the melodies voice of birds singing with naughty monkeys. If you like to know more about the local lifestyle and culture, you can join our family. Its walk-able distance to all major attractions. Interested to know more about the tribes of this place??? Then, you can take a walk thru the road infront of our homestay and where you have forest on one side and you reach their colony. They take you for a short walk thru their village and explain their lifestyle, traditional medicines, culture etc. Also, if you are an Elephant lover, you are most welcome for Elephant ride, Elephant bath and you get chance to click amazing pics with the giant animal. :-) Also we have local market, Kathakali show, Kalari show, Ayurvedic massage etc within walking distance.
