Vellir is an old cosy Icelandic house built in 1922. There are steep steps between floors, especially from the 1st floor down to the basement as there is one room. We recommend you looking at the steep stairs of the house in the pictures of the house. When you go down to the basement you need to go through the toilet. In the basement there is also a shower and laundry. All these facilities in the house make it special, you even think you´re back to the old days :) Everyone can see pictures of the steps in the pictures gallery and all other spaces in the house. Guests who have come to Vellir speak of a very good spirit in the house :)
The neighborhood is very quiet, great views are all around, the mountain view is magnificent and the power from the sea (Atlantic Ocean) is incredibly great ! There is a shop at Grenivík and also a restaurant , there you can have fish, meat, hamburgers, sandwiches and much more. Akureyri 25 minute drive, Goðafoss 30 minute drive, Aldeyjarfoss 45 minute drive, Mývatn 55 minute drive and Húsavík you can go whale watching and you are 55 minutes to drive there.
