Ladispoli in addition to being a seaside resort, it is also an excellent destination for reaching the center of Rome due to its proximity to the capital. Ladispoli is very well connected with the main areas of Rome (30 minutes by train to reach San Pietro) and the frequency of trains is every 30 minutes on average. On the state railways website you can consult the daily routes and timetables. Furthermore, Ladispoli is also close to Civitavecchia, another seaside town from where many cruise ships depart. In the vicinity of Ladispoli there are to see: - Village of Ceri - Excursion to the Cerveteri waterfalls - Necropolis of Cerveteri - Borgo of Cerveteri - Shopping on the Main Street (Viale Italia) - Visit to the WWF Oasis of Torre Flavia - Walk in Marina di San Nicola - Visit to the Navigation Museum of Santa Severa The sand of the beaches of Ladispoli is originally black due to the high iron component and it is for this reason that until the sixties it was a renowned holiday resort for the possibility of therapeutic sandblasting.
