Located just steps away from the main gondola station in Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Schanze Nozawa is cozy accommodations with Japanese-style rooms and friendly multi-lingual staff. It features ski-in ski-out access and a ski storage room. Featuring a historic charm and views of ski slopes or surrounding mountains, each room is fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. A heater, a small low table and seating cushions are provided in the simple rooms. Bathroom and toilets are shared. Guests at the nonsmoking Nozawa Schanze can unwind in the lounge, which has an internet PC and comfortable sofas. New renovations include a room for drying ski equipment on site. Luggage can be left at the property after check-out. JR Togari-nozawa-onsen Station is a 10-minute drive or bus ride away. There are 13 public hot spring baths in the area, most of which are within a 15-minute walk. Simple continental breakfast is offered at the spacious and renovated dining room.
