The Tamarind Village, a luxurious collection of fully serviced apartments, is situated directly adjacent to Mombasa's famous Tamarind Restaurant and overlooks the picturesque Old Town of Mombasa. The Village' which consists of one, two and three bedroom apartments, is built in coastal style architecture with Swahili furnishing. Each apartment has, air-conditioned bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite, a well appointed and equipped kitchen for self catering, satellite TV and a spacious verandah with a stunning view of the Old Town of Mombasa. Guests dine at the poolside Harbour Restaurant, or for a more gourmet experience the Tamarind Restaurant or the Tamarind Dhow. In addition there is the Golden Key Casino above the Tamarind with excellent gambling. 'The Village' is an ideal place for business visitors looking for a quiet efficient environment and is able to cater for residential conferences of up to forty in the conference room, as well as providing business facilities with wireless internet access, telephone and secretarial services. For holiday makers, the Village makes a secure and perfect setting for leisure and relaxation, offering two swimming pools, spa and a gym

Mombasa is an island connected to the mainland by bridges and ferries. The town overlooks a wide harbor, where commercial shipping mingles with traditional sailing dhows. The true heart of Mombasa is found in the exotic old town, among the narrow winding streets and Arab architecture. Women wearing the traditional bui bui fill the narrow streets and busy markets. The streets are alive with the bright colours of the traditional coastal khanga and kikoy, the all purpose wrap around cloth worn by both men and women. At the waters edge is Fort Jesus, an imposing fort that stands watch over the Old Harbor. The high gun turrets, battlements and underground passages of this 16th Century Fort were the centre of a historic struggle for control of the Kenya coast between the Portuguese army and the Shirazi Arabs. Modern Mombasa is a town of great diversity and life. This is a place where all are welcomed and quickly absorbed into a great coastal melting pot. Mosques, Hindu Temples and Christian churches surround streets that thrive with a world of cultures. The South and North coast have incredible beaches with many beach resorts. Mombasa can be accessed directly from Nairobi by air.
