Company information

East Surf is a SriLankan/Western family business; we built the guesthouse with love and sweat. Most of our guests come for the tranquility of the area (away from techno); fresh food (Sudu's jungle BBQ have become a trademark); and large rooms. Its home away from home. Its super safe for families with little ones, and we offer discounts for bookings over 10 days and the use of the kitchen during the less busy months. Free filtered water bottles for all, we don't believe in plastic bottles any more (there is no recycling in Sri Lanka and plastic usually gets burnt or fed to wild animals).

Property information

We have 4 comfortable cabanas at the front of the property scattered inside the garden, and 4 superb family rooms at the back of the property, built on a sand dune. All our family rooms are large and original in design, built with local materials and environmental needs. We also have a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Neighbourhood information

We are 8 min walk from the beach, in a quiet part of the residential area. Away from the hustle and bustle, and the party scene, so you can get a good sleep. We are also 12 min walk into the main strip with shops etc. We have bicycles if you fancy getting around quickly, free of charge.
