Damitha, your host is a Medical Doctor working for Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka. Saga is housewife. This is a family run business. We do our best to make your vacation unforgettable, and full of happiness. We like to chat, dine and travel with our guests.

Property information

From 2014, SAGA HOME was the most preferred place in southern costal line by budget travelers. Unfortunately last two years we had to close this place due to pandemic and other issues in Sri-Lanka. Now we are ready to serve you with more facilities and services. We do our best to make unforgettable happy memories to you, in your visit to Sri-Lanka. We are located in Ambalangoda, a costal town between Benthota and Hikkaduwa. It is only 5 minute walk from Ambalangoda Bus stand and Railway station. It is only 50m to beach, most our rooms has got eye catching beach view . This a 4 story building, each floor of building has separate access without making interferences to other floors. After renovation in 2019, All together there 9s private guest rooms with private bathrooms. We offer self cooking facilities without additional fees. But we suggest you to try our buffet breakfast and dinner at very reasonable price. You have full privacy in your room and private bathroom. But no need to be confined into room, there are plenty of common spaces to rest, work, exercise, cook, eat, drink, smoke and other activates. Most exciting place in entire home is rooftop. This is a 800 square feet large. As SAGA HOME is build in beach side elevated land, rooftop is ideal place for relaxing while experiencing see breeze. Watching sun setting over western beach from rooftop will be a unforgettable experience. There are many shops, restaurants, bars , super markets and tourists attractions in walking distance. We offer bicycles free of charge. Motorbikes and scooters available for rent. We also arrange airport shuttle service and round trips at very reasonable price.

Neighbourhood information

Ambalangoda is not very busy touristic place. Beach in Ambalangoda is wider, cleaner and more greener. There are many restaurants and shops around. Traditional fish market and fishing harbor is ideal place to buy fresh sea foods. 99% population in Ambalangoda are Sinhala Buddhist, but most of town residents capable of communication in English. There are many tourist attractions like Madu River Safari, Moonstone mines, Several old Buddhist temples, Benthota tourist zone and Hikkaduwa Tourist zone are very close to Ambalangoda.
