I am an American-born Pakistani from the suburbs of Chicago, passionate about a whole new world. I grew up on a path to checking all the stereotypical boxes that I possibly could in the least amount of time possible. The more boxes I checked though, the less happy I became. After ending my job as a Wall Street Consultant, I spent the next few years trying to become a social entrepreneur. I went on to become a volunteer on eco-lodges and permaculture farms in Central America and, eventually, worked my way around the world helping to build sustainable and regenerative projects in Australia, Philippines, Chicago and Peru. I focused on the intersection of business, nature, and community. The culmination of my experiences and research is now evident in the Círculo Initiative, a family of eco-focused, for-purpose businesses in Nicaragua that are built on a mission to give more than they take – a model of conducting business and life in a way that our world desperately needs, one that is more regenerative. I have the pleasure of working with an inspired team of travelers, foreigners and locals alike. You will be in direct communication with this beautiful team of collaborators.

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP! El Pacifico Hotel has offered its guests quiet and relaxation for nearly 20 years -- it was the 3rd hotel to open in San Juan del Sur. With just a 3 minute walk to the beach and easy 15 minute beach walk to town, you get the best of both worlds in San Juan del Sur. We offer 8 rooms with fans and hot water and 2 budget-conscious room that are spacious but basic. Something for everyone! The heart of the El Pacifico Hotel is the centrally located rancho, with plenty of areas to relax, a library and games, welcoming bar and dining area. The property has a pool and smaller rancho with lounge chairs and more hammocks to enjoy. For your safety and convenience, the compound is gated with free parking, and we employ a night guard. Come enjoy our community of world travelers over a cold beer, or relax at the pool with a book!

Neighbourhood information

La Talanguera is at the base of the Cristo de la Divina Misericordia statue, the 2nd largest such statue in the world. A short (but steep!) 8-10 minute walk up to the Cristo, a 3 minute walk to the quiet side of the beach, and a 15 minute walk to town make the location great -- and the hotel is located in a nice, quiet residential area so you can relax in peace and quiet and get a great night's sleep!
