Neighbourhood information

Pohara Beach has a safe swimming beach for all the family. There are no dangerous currents and the beach has a gentle slope so it's shallow even 10m out, great for kids and adults to play in. It's a small community with a small shop that sells basic groceries, a couple of restaurants/bars, a coffee shop and even a day spa all within easy walking distance. The surrounding area has plenty of things to do - easy walks in the Abel Tasman National Park (approx 20 minute drive), kayaking, salmon fishing, beach hopping, horse riding, to name just a few.
