Relax in a modern architecturally designed house, built on an elevated site with panoramic views of the town, lake, mountain and adjacent farmland. There are two guest rooms located upstairs and separate from the rest of the house. Both rooms have their own separate bathrooms and there is a guest lounge where your continental breakfast is served daily. Facilities include Sky TV, and a Gym. Just 3km from Taupo’s town centre, Punawai Homestay is set in a new subdivision, on a quiet street set amongst other quality houses. A large public park is next door, containing a tennis court, children’s play-ground and walking tracks. Punawai Homestay is built on fostering environmental sustainability principles and healthy living.
We are a couple in our 50’s and both well-travelled. Leanne is English born (c’mon Sheffield United!), Zimbabwe raised but has called NZ home for many years. Andy has spent several years working in Singapore, Australia and USA (go Packers!). We’re both keen travellers, and welcome any discussion involving travel or different cultures. Taupo has been our home for some time now, and we have a wealth of knowledge on Taupo’s tourist attractions and local tips. Together, we have been hosting visitors to Taupo for the last 10 years.
