We are located in a semi-rural area. The property is in a park like setting with fruit and Macademia trees. It is very quiet here with many types of birds that live on the property. We are only 1km from state high way one at Okaihau, still on the tar-seal, so not really too far from the beaten track. Payment is via internet or cash, or we send you a link to pay with credit card before the time of your reservation. Payment must be received at least 2 days before arrival. We don't use the credit card details submitted on this website. If you come with 2 people and want separate beds, please advise!!!! Babies under 18 months old are free but you have to provide your own cot. Otherwise we accept only children from 12 yrs in an extra bed, same rate as one extra (third) person. Special Note: Batteries for an EV can not be charged at the apartment, also not with your own charger.
Jeannette and Hans are your hosts, both from The Netherlands, but they have lived in New Zealand for 30+ years. They have travelled the world by yacht and spent many years in different countries. Jeannette is a home-made chef and cooks an international cuisine, she likes doing artistic things. Hans has a great love of building sound systems. They built the apartment to give people a rest away from home and work, while they look after you! They look forward to having you here and make you comfortable.
The Twin Coast Cycle Trail is only 100 metres away. The thermal pools take a 15 minutes drive to get there. There is nothing much but peace and quiet here, but we are quite central in the Far North. Easy to drive to the Bay of Islands, Hokianga Harbour and Cape Reinga. In the Okaihau Village there is a butcher, country store with fresh produce, two dairies, a very good take away and a cafe. WE also have a hairdresser!
