La Maracuya Panama is a social conscience hotel. We are located in a Panamanian community where you will get to experience the culture of this beautiful country. La Maracuya and our guests help to support the local community through employment. We provide our staff with a positive work environment. During your stay, all your meals will be prepared by Betsy. Betsy is our amazingly sweet neighbor who is a genius when it comes to local specialties. If you are lucky she will serve some of her "guandu". and rice. These are grown right on her property and you may even see her grandmother shelling the beans on the terrace across the street. Else will be there to greet you when you arrive. As with all our staff, Else only speaks Spanish but any translator app will get you pretty far. Else will be able to help you with anything that you may need during your stay.
La Marcuya is a little piece of paradise located in a typical community overlooking the pacific. We strive to help support our community by employing a positive work situation for those who live around us. During your stay with us you will be hosted by Else our property manager, Betsy will cook you some fabulous local cuisine and you will surely see Muncho keeping the gardens beautiful. Our staff mainly speak Spanish but, they are trying to learn English.
La Maracuay is located 15 minutes from Coronado by car. If you are not able to drive then it is easy to hire a taxi in Coronado or hop on a bus heading towards the Laguna De San Carlos. We are located in a typical community. It is quiet and there is mostly nature around. If you are adventurous you can spend days exploring the nearby beaches along the pacific coast or you can take a beautiful drive along the back road to El Vaille De Anton. Be warned, many guests get trapped by the relaxing atmosphere and choose to just chill out and relax for a couple of days, while listening to the birds and soaking up the sun poolside.
