About this property
Overlooking the valleys of São Vicente, this restored 18th-century manor house features a garden with a heated swimming pool. Guest can enjoy the on-site wellness facilities and the traditional restaurant. The air-conditioned rooms and suites at Estalagem do Vale come with a satellite TV and work desk. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, while other rooms are decorated in a traditional style with dark wooden furniture. A breakfast buffet is served daily indoors or on the terrace. Guest can try traditional dishes from North coast of Madeira at Restaurant Caramujo. The Adega Croque bar offers tea and local cakes, and there is a snack bar. The sauna, solarium and Turkish bath offer relaxation after a busy day in Funchal, a 25-minute drive away. Alternatively, guests can read a book from the library or listen to the sounds of the crickets by the pool. The hotel is situated within the World Heritage Site of the ancient Laurissilva Forests, 2 km from São Vicente.
