Since 2019, our vision is to create and share a place of connection, reflection and relaxation. We provide personal service and attention to our guests, being available throughout the stay. This rustic, yet serene farm, covered in fynbos and shady trees, is meant to be shared with others and so our visitors can come and spend quality time with their loved ones in a tranquil and peaceful environment. Enjoy nature whilst surrounded by our springbuck, zebras, alpacas and other animals. Or simply relax at the pool and playground. Our mission is complete if you leave Otium Oasis feeling refreshed and ready to face life!

Property information

Otium Oasis is a perfect destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts with its prolific bird life, abundance of fynbos, herd of free roaming springbok and panoramic view of the mountains and countryside. Our tented chalets are rustic, yet elegant. Each tent has a fully-equipped kitchenette, bathroom, lounge, deck and private braai area with hot tub. Not one tent looks the same, each one uniquely decorated, to provide our guests plenty of choice! Our Tipi tents create a unique experience in our forest. With a fire pit inside your tent, you can get snug and cozy while cooking, or just watching the dance of the flames. Outside you can lounge in your hammock whilst you braai and enjoy the sounds of nature. For the hot and sunny days, take a dip in our splash pool or just relax and have a braai! Ask us about our beautiful view point of the valley if you are looking to take a walk in the breathtaking surroundings of our farm. Guided hikes are available on request. Group Bookings are popular, and perfect for an extended family getaway or a Special Occasion!

Neighbourhood information

Tesselaarsdal is a small village outside Caledon with a close knit community. Visit the local Saturday market, or enjoy a meal or an Adult Milkshake at the local restaurant. First Sunday of the month is our Farmer's Market, where local produce is available. Otium Oasis is situated at the gateway of our famous Barber's Trail. Do the 10km loop, or go all the way to Stanford and follow the Barber of yesteryear's footsteps as he did his Saturday walk to do haircuts for the locals in Stanford. Enquire for permits. Further afield are many Beer Breweries, Wine farms and tastings, with Hermanus round the corner for some retail therapy and whale watching in season. You can also try the local Zipline or Quad Biking if adventure calls you!
