The breakfast was fabulous, the rooms were incredible comfortable and the nature around the hotel is wonderful. We have a small dog, and had a great walk in the morning before breakfast. Also the dinner was perfect after a long day of walking and exploring. You could warm yourself next to the woodfire, with a refreshing cider and a happy and tired dog at your feet. Highly recommended.

A very friendly welcome and the most gorgeous summer beer garden. This is a beautiful tranquil setting just far enough away from busy Ambleside or Windermere, while both are easy to get to. The family running this are kind, full of smiles and know how to make you (and your dogs!) feel at home.
