Beautiful property with a gorgeous spacious room. The staff was very friendly (even with a little language barrier); they were super helpful and kind.

L’Adler Hotel occupe un magnifique bâtiment traditionnel de style appenzellois près du centre piétonnier du village d’Appenzell. Staying here was a fantastic experience. We stayed in the Junior Suite with Mountain View, and it was absolutely remarkable what the proprietor has done with this space. Absolutely the most comfortable and adorable small hotel we have stayed in Switzerland!! The roomy suite had views to the local mountain peaks, and was adorned with a large family-style table & chairs, comfortable furniture including a recliner and a couch, a flat-screen TV, and even a piano with busts of Beethoven and Brahms (I think, anyway). Just couldn't have been cozier!! Excellent breakfast. And it was clear the staff are devoted to the comfort and convenience of their guests. Like helping me carry the pizzas from the (excellent) Italian restaurant up to the room the evening my wife wasn't feeling well, Or making a suggestion to visit a local site we weren't even aware of, but turned out to be fantastic. Thank You Thank You Thank You for a moving and memorable stay in your establishment! We hope to be back someday!!

Not far from the train station but still in the countryside. The beds were comfortable, the staff amazing, the breakfast healthy and fresh. We do not usually like to share bathrooms but there were a few on our corridor and it was absolutely fine. A big thank you for all!!!

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The location is perfect — just a short walk from the train station. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely love to come back again!

The beds were also the comfiest I had on that part of my trip. The view from everywhere was gorgeous, but honestly that's just that entire region of Switzerland. What a beautiful country!

Cette maison d'hôtes traditionnelle située à Alt St. Johann se trouve à seulement 500 mètres des remontées mécaniques de Sellamatt. Hôtel choisi pour une étape lors d'un tour en VTT. Nous avions demandé un local pour nos vélos: Pas de problème, le patron sort sa voiture de son garage personnel pour y mettre nos vélos à l'abri ! Nous étions répartis entre un studio et une chambre double, dans un bâtiment à côté du restaurant. Nous avons utilisé le restaurant pour le goûter à l'arrivée, le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner. Tout y était excellent. Les chambres étaient agréables et fonctionnelles, on y a bien dormi.

Surrounded by a park with a sunbathing lawn and a playground, the palace-style Hotel Restaurant Belvedere enjoys a quiet location in Weissbad. It offers free Wi-fi and mountain views. Nice place, nice room with a view to the mountains, in fact the entire hotel is surrounded by mountains, large breakfast, local products (cheese, sausages, milk, beer). Wonderful
