The rooms were beautiful. I loved that each room had a fridge and a coffee machine. The location is like living in the jungle. The monkeys and iguanas come right up to the hotel. The food was great and we enjoyed the pool. Irene is an absolute sweetheart and goes far and beyond and we love her. Blue the dog made us feel safe and kept smiling and singing for us.

Fantastic welcome and introduction from Stephanie - great recommendations too. Wonderful breakfast. Great facilities team from cleaners to security, gardeners and maintenance people. All very friendly and helpful. Yoga session on site. Amazing views from room. Very clean. Had all amenities - great toiletries. Using WhatsApp made things very easy like ordering ATV; taxi: yoga. Welcome drink and bottle of wine on arrival really set the tone for a wonderful stay and we will hopefully be back! Also we had a lovely little Valentine’s Day treat from the hotel, such a cute touch! Also as an LGBT couple we were made to feel completely welcome and like any other couple. This is not always our experience so I think deserves a special mention. Again huge thank you to Stephanie and the team.

Breakfast was perfect...variety for both our tastes. The grounds and beach were amazing. Bonus were the trails connected to the property. The buildings, and history were way beyond what we expected. (They exceeded the pictures on-line) The beach was quiet and very relaxing. We really enjoyed venturing about a block to the "town" and experiencing the happy atmosphere of this gathering place. A couple of great restaurants and grocery store. The food at the resort was great as well.

Best value for money you will find in Santa Teresa. Tropico Latino is an excellent beachfront hotel that offers breakfast at the beach restaurant. They are always doing the little extras to make you happy. The staff is so friendly, thanks to Guadalupe and Andreas from the reception and all the waiters at the restaurant. The food is excellent. The room was so spacious, with a comfortable bed and pillow (!!). For some reason, most hotels have horrible pillows, but here they were great. Yoga and training offers and facilities are so great!

The location was perfect and the wonderful upkeep of the landscape gardens made the visit a lovely relaxed atmosphere . we were a large group , family and friends and we were all situated close together around the swimming pool area, making it easy to Communicate with each other. the Wi-Fi connection was excellent. The staff working at the hotel were all lovely and always helpful .

Amazing place to stay!!Beautiful and quiet place in the middle of the jungle with great views and a quick ride to the center! Mike was very helpful, and nice. We felt super welcomed and enjoyed our stay very much!

I'm not one to often leave reviews, but I feel compelled to make an exception for D'Palm Villas. My stay there was exceptional, and the experience was beyond what I expected. Mike, the manager, consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests are delighted. His genuine care shines through, aiming to guarantee everyone has a fantastic time in Mal Pais. The villas are stunning. They're newly constructed, thoughtfully designed, snug, modern, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated. It's a fusion of contemporary tropical vibes and a beach cottage nestled in the jungle. The location is unbeatable: nestled in the serene, verdant jungle of Mal Pais, yet just a stone's throw from the vibrant restaurants and stores of Santa Teresa. Plus, it's a mere 5-minute walk to the beach. If you're planning a trip to the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, I wholeheartedly recommend D'Palms villas. I, for one, will surely return.
