Pension Ken & Mary's hosts are absolutely wonderful people, kind, welcoming and extremely helpful in every possible way. We stayed for 4 nights to go skitouring in the area since it's perfectly located in between Asahidake, Furano and Horokanai. Every afternoon we felt like coming home, can't recommend this place enough and would definitely stay here again!!

The B&B is run by a pair of retired lovely couples, they are very helpful! The house is well-maintained, clean, with very comfortable beddings. Facilities for cooking and laundry are great, many sightseeing places are of walking distance. The view outside is the house is magnificent

Our stay at Villa Rubeshibe was absolutely wonderful. It has beautifully designed interiors, and was the perfect size for our multigenerational family of 8 - 2 adults and 2 kids took the bigger family-sized Japanese-style room with ensuite bathroom, 2 adults in the second room and another 2 adults in the 3rd. There is a huge living room and couch where we lounged after dinner, and an 8-seater dining table where we gathered over meals. We stayed in one of the nights and made dinner comfortably because of a lack of restaurant options on a Monday night in Biei. Two-in-1 oven and microwave (would reco only using one function at a time, the residual oven heat would be too hot for microwaving something), 4 stoves, lots of kitchen utensils and serving plates, a wide variety of wine and sake glasses (white, red, burgundy, champagne flutes, sake pot and glasses etc). The host was great, walking us through the property and explaining how to use the various amenities upon check-in, and sending us off on check-out. We also appreciated all the little touches - many complimentary bottles of juice and bottled water, the nespresso machine and capsules in the kitchen AND every single room, herbal tea from the region, etc. There is also a large jacuzzi tub with jets - use it!!

My children were very excited to experience 'Nagashi-somen' and 'Mochitsuki' for the first time. The owner is very friendly and helpful- supported us to book a River Rafting at last minutes. He also gave us homegrown organic veges, which were very fresh and tasety. The place is spacious and kitchen is well equipped.Bedrooms are nice and spacious. Attic was brilliant and my boys were not allowing me to come- it became their secret room to play lego! It was great as we needed to cook most of the time for a dietary reason. My boys are very happy to use musical instruments, darts and watching sports on TV. It is such a peaceful place and my boys are now asking me to bring them here again in winter!! We enjoy observing lots of nature around the house.

WE LOVE THE LOCATION AND SPACE. ORIGINALLY WAS LOOKING FOR AIR CON BUT THEN REALISE THAT WE DIDNT NEED IT AT NIGHT COS IT WAS COLD. WE HAVE EVERYTHING PROVIDED FOR US AND WE LOVE THE KITCHEN WHERE WE CAN HAVE SIMPLE BREAKFST MEAL. THE HOUSE IS ALSO NEAR TO MANY FLOWER FARM AND WE USE THIS AS OUR BASE. WE LOVE OUR ROOMS SO COMFORTABLE AND WE ALL SLEPT SO WELL DURING OUR 3 NIGHTS STAY HERE.

The granddaughter of the original owners was just so charming and kind. She is sometimes on reception. She went out of her way to help us set off on our snow walk and let us check out late because no one else was using our room after us. I wish I had asked her name! The breakfast is excellent. Croissants, scrambled eggs and sausages are thoughtfully provided for anyone who can't face fish in the morning. Dinnner was also lovely. We were blown away by all the snow in mid-April. We had hoped it would still be snowy, and were so happy it was. You can borrow snow rackets (shoes), poles and gloves -- they are available right by the front door. We explored up behind the hotel and it was just beautiful. It is such a peaceful place. It was a shock to arrive back in Tokyo that same evening! There is a coin laundry room to use. The outdoor baths are very original - on one side they are built right into a rock, forming a little cave. The second rotemburo was only lukewarm, which came as a surprise. My daughters were fine in it but I found it too cold on a snowy day in mid-April -- however on our second day there was blazing sunshine and it was fine. There is nothing quite like lying in an onsen with snowflakes falling on your head. Unforgettable.

Excellent hospitality. Host drove me to the station and offer to drive me to the Christmas tree as well as the view park on the day I arrived. Facilities are very clean and modern.
