We stayed in the cottage 5 minutes away, it had everything we needed and the view was beautiful. The staff were excellent, helpful hosts. There was a washing machine and somewhere to hang the clothes with a fan to dry them, a bathtub big enough for two as well as a kitchen. We highly recommend the menu at Takahira Base, super healthy and delicious.

Both of us enjoyed the stay there! The owners are very warm and all the equipments in the cabin are very nice. The overall environment provide a chill and relaxing vibe. I highly recommend this cabin to people who visit Yakushima!!

Hosts were incredibly kind and hospitable. Despite a language barrier, they asked us what our plans were, whether we needed breakfast or a packed lunch, and they made sure we had the necessary information to plan our trek out to Jōmon Sugi. They also provided tea upon our arrival!

Everything is great! The house is really clean, beautiful, and has everything you need. I feel the host prepared many thoughtful details—like bathrobes in case guests visit the hot springs, plenty of informational booklets about the island, and more. Most of all, my friend and I feel like the host genuinely loves the house and the island. 😄 Also, the staff is very helpful!

We had an excellent stay at Ananda Chillage. The place is charming, peaceful, and very pleasant. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped. Breakfasts were delicious and entirely homemade. A big thank you to the hosts for their warm welcome, kindness, and availability. We highly recommend this place!

The houses are very comfortable and well equipped. We absolutely loved Japanese breakfasts. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. My daughter absolutely loved the goat. Apparently it is not a very easy to tame goat but after 2 days and some carrots it licked her hand ;)
