This apartment is exceptional, the best of our entire stay in Slovenia. Everything is tastefully furnished. Exemplary cleanliness. We admired the modern solid wood furniture made by the owner. Very comfortable bed, magnificent bathroom with its pebble floor. Furthermore, this accommodation is located in a very quiet small village and right next to the beautiful Cerknica lake. The small town, where you can find the essentials, is 5 minutes away by car. Ideally located to discover very beautiful sites, we will not hesitate to rent it again.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfortable and most importantly it was perfectly clean everywhere! The house is settled on a hill, with no neighbors or anything else - perfect privacy! The jacuzzi, Sauna & Steam shower are also in great condition and especially the jacuzzi with view over the hills is a unique experience. Sabina is an awesome host! She took care of everything, welcomed us very friendly with information about the house, the area and even the history of the place! Overall we can fully recommend this place and will be happy to return!

Quietly and beautifully situated in a cul-de-sac on a steep mountain, yet only a few minutes' drive from the river and the town of Vipava, which has decent restaurants, shops and an ATM. Large supermarkets (including Lidl, Spar, Mercator) are a 15-minute drive away in the town of Ajdovščina. The term “apartment” is too modest for this nostalgic Roman-style villa consisting of two separate floors. The building is located on the mountain side, on the same grounds as the owners' villa on the street side. Plus points are the peace and privacy (fully fenced grounds, separate building, cul-de-sac), the spacious bedroom/living room, the large extra toilet, the very large fitted kitchen with huge adjoining dining room, large covered terraces with seating on both floors, the (shared) swimming pool and the phenomenal view of the mountains and valley. The fact that not all of the inventory is still functional is more than compensated for by the favourable price/quality ratio and the extraordinary hospitality and helpfulness of the owners. You are a welcome guest here of three generations of entrepreneurs, who are also beekeepers. One of your hosts is a dog trainer. Your dog is very welcome here, can play in the garden with the owners' dogs and can be safely walked a kilometre uphill on the extensive walking trails in the Vipavska dolina nature reserve (various levels of difficulty). Upon request, your hosts will also show you the way to safe places to swim with your dog in the river or the sand quarry. In short, Božič Residence is highly recommended for dog owners, those seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers and honey buyers. Twenty minutes' drive uphill, the owners also have an estate with a farm, horses, donkeys, cattle, alpacas, goats, dogs, chickens and 20 hectares of rolling alpine meadows. This unique estate is very remote, surrounded by nature.

Beautiful place, situated in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well-stocked (everything is there), and the apartment is clean, comfortable, and nice. If you are visiting with a car, I really can't recommend it enough – there is a huge free parking area just outside the entrance. There is also a whirlpool bath and sauna available, as well as a very good internet connection. The hostess was very helpful. She speaks very good English, which was very useful since we are foreigners. Highly recommend it!

Whether you're looking to relax or explore the area, this place strikes the perfect balance. Highly recommended!

100/10 if I could, I would give a higher rating..something for a real vacation. You can have an active vacation, there are beautiful hiking tours on the mountain, the Postojna Cave is close, and the sea is only 40 minutes away...everything is perfect, from the nice accommodation, cleanliness, to the wonderful hosts. Great for sunrise lovers. We will surely come again.

If you need some peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Great for couples with a hot tub and sauna. Everything was really nice and clean, and the hosts are very nice and open people.
