We had a fantastic stay, and love everything about the place. The rooms are clean, and so well equipped. The location is fantastic for exploring everything in Franschhoek. Most of all we enjoyed “happy hour” with the owners, Lin and Mick, and the other guests - it was always the perfect start to the night. Staying at 1aa Wilhelminia is also fantastic value for money - I would highly recommend and definitely look forward to returning for another visit.

How long do you have? This hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The concept that it is your home away from home hits every note. The staff are wonderful. The grounds are beautiful. Our room was so lovely, we didn't want to leave. Every moment spent here felt special. A typical day would be to go for a morning run - safe and with stunning views all around, it was a great way to start the day, Alter you come back for an incredibly delicious breakfast. Then get ready to either lounge by our private plunge pool or the main pool. If we wanted to go to town the main street was a 3 minute walk away which was perfect and anywhere just a little further, they arranged a car for us. Before heading to dinner, they offered aperitives and you can sit in the beautiful orangery, play scrabble, listen to live piano and enjoy a beverage. Excellent restaurants a walk away and coming home to a night cap offering. Back in the room, we would heat up the hot tub - the weather was perfect for it! Then a great nights sleep only to repeat the same magic the next day! But it wasn't just all of this. It was also the attention to detail. Every lounger by the pool had towels, a hat. Rooms were quipped with sun creams, beautiful woven beach bags and blankets for chilly nights by the fire. Everything had been thought of and nothing extra we could have asked for. Had it not been so fully booked, we would have stayed longer.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning four-bedroom house, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, our hostess made us feel like family. Her warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for our trip. The house itself is beautifully designed, with spacious rooms that are both stylish and comfortable. Each bedroom is a little oasis, ensuring everyone in our group had their own relaxing retreat. But the real highlight was the gorgeous swimming pool and the outdoor BBQ area. We spent countless hours enjoying the sun, swimming, and grilling delicious meals—all while soaking in the beautiful surroundings. Our hostess Ria went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. She provided us with local recommendations, made us feel at home with thoughtful touches, and was always available to help with anything we needed. Her kindness made our trip infinitely better, turning a simple vacation into an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for a place to stay that offers both luxury and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, look no further. I can’t wait to return! Thank you for an incredible stay!

We came from Botswana for a friend ceremony. I loved the place, all the details and effort that staff put to let people feeling at home. All the employees are women, kindness, attention on details and smiling are impressed on my mind for ever.     Lovely surroundings in the middle of a vineyard with amazing views. Very peaceful and undisturbed. Apartment was really bright and a lovely space to relax in. We loved the hot tub and terrace.

    The staff member at reception picked up that it was my birthday and suprised me with a beautiful plate of cakes and complimentary sparkling wine in our room. The hotel overall was amazing. The pool facilities and jacuzzi was a dream to relax at. The breakfast buffet was expectional and the staff were super kind. We didnt have a car and they offered us a shuttle to town and back for a small fee. The bungalow was beautiful and well cleaned. We couldnt have wished for a better stay!
