The Waldegg Hotel's spa area can be used free of charge and includes aromatic steam baths, a sauna, and a fitness room. Various massages and treatments are also available. Bathrobes, slippers and towels are provided. The service was exceptional - from a relaxed glass of champagne on arrival to help putting chains on our car tyres on departure. Our room was spacious, elegantly decorated with a stunning view of the mountains and Engelberg. We ate at the Thai restaurant which offers outstanding food and at the European restaurant which has a small but well cooked menu. Breakfast was plentiful with options for high end warm dishes. The infinity pool was amazing with various jets and a separate warmer jacuzzi. The outdoor hot tub and sauna in a cable car cabin felt especially luxurious, surrounded by snow and Christmas lights. The indoor spa (2 saunas, steam room and special showers) is quite small, but during our stay we had it mostly to ourselves. For a romantic and relaxing short stay, it was perfect and we plan to come again!

With lake views, this accommodation offers a balcony. Offering free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking chalet has a hot tub. Lungern is a beautiful village and the chalet provides a great base from which to explore the area and mountains. René was a lovely host and the house is well-equipped, we had breakfast on the terrace each morning with a view over the turquoise lake.

Skiing and cycling can be enjoyed nearby, while a bicycle rental service, a ski pass sales point and ski storage space are also available on-site. It was very clean and can be reached by free shuttle bus, great for campers with no cars. Stuff were all very nice. On-site shop provides fresh bread selections!
