It was amazing after a long day of hiking and driving.

At the apartment complex, some units are soundproof. The location is great, having a great view of both the waterfall behind the property and the ocean while relaxing in the hot tub. The rooms are lovely with a large communal kitchen. If I could go back in time I'd have based more of my trip out of here. The rooms were much nicer than we expected based on the price and frankly it was a better night than the hotel twice the price down the road.

Take in the breathtaking scenery of the riverside, surrounding mountains, volcano Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull glacier. Great location. We chose it as it was fairly central to places we wished to visit along the south coast and it looked like it would be a dark area during the night for viewing the aurora. Rooms were part of individual lodges with the restaurant/reception/breakfast being in a central lodge. Rooms were spacious and clean with coffee machines. Breakfast and restaurant served very nice food. Staff were exceptionally nice and chef was helpful making sure we were safe regarding allergies. Would he happy to visit again next time we are in Iceland.

This hotel is set on a farm within the Golden Circle Region, 15 minutes’ drive from Gulfoss Waterfall and Geysir hot water springs. It offers horse riding during the summer season, traditional cooking and a geothermal outdoor hot tub. The location is amazing, mountains all around. The windowview was incredible! Lots of amazing sightseeing nearby, including the brúarfoss waterfall that is only a 5 to 10 minute drive. The food and ice-cream from their own cows was also so so good! The first day I had the best sirloin steak I ever had! Not to mention the room which was so beautiful and cosy with all the wood :)
