To get the best from this property, get stuck in and meet the other guests, it's such a relaxed, fun atmosphere. It was cute/quaint and had character! Excellent location, shuttle stops for all the mountains were a five min walk or less, as were the ski rental shop and many restaurants. Loved hanging out in the common room. And most of all we LOVED Taka, he was the best. Such an amazing host. Definitely would stay here again if I came back to Hakuba and definitely would recommend to a friend.

A 10-minute drive from Hakuba Happo-One Winter Ski Resort, Pension Tomato offers spacious Western-style rooms with a loft area. Free WiFi is available at the entire property and guests can reserve a private open-air bath overlooking the forest. A free shuttle is available from JR Hakuba Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking. Forest views are available from the 2nd floor of the accommodation. Close to the main road, amazingly friendly staffs, good size room with bath. Fridge, washing machine, ensuite bath, big kitchen space were available. We had 4 single beds in our room and was big enough for all 4 of us. The bed was comfortable too. The onsen in the shared area was also nice. You had to make reservations in advance to secure a 45min slot. One was only inside but the other had both inside and outside baths.

Be sure to book with the breakfast and have a dinner there. The breakfasts and the Sukiyaki were some of the best meals I had on my stay in Japan. The room itself is quite spacious than what I was anticipating and the beds keep you warm.

Everything, the room was perfect and warm, koki and Naomi give us excellent service..koki also cook very good dinner and bake a very niceeee bread.. the most delicious bread I ever had in my life.. his bread is a must!!

Three of us stayed here for 5 days. We had the best time! The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable with great facilities, including a storage area for all of our ski and snowboard gear. There’s also a bus station right down the street that takes you to Iwatake (which you can then transfer to another bus that takes you to every resort.) The best part were the owners — they were so kind and welcoming even though we did not speak Japanese. They cooked us breakfast and dinner and both were so delicious. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay😁
