Enjoyed the house for summer for a big group and had a wonderful time! Staff was always quick/available to answer your questions or come by should you needed something. Sauna/onsen was definitely a highlight, along with the ready-to-go BBQ set (extra cost). Would love to come again!

Situated in Hakuba in the Nagano region, with Happo-One Ski Resort and Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal nearby, Pension Belnina features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Belnina had a very nice family feel. Taka, Seiko and their friend Danny made our stay fantastic. Taka was very helpful with resort information and went beyond by picking us up and dropping us to the station. Seiko and Danny did a great job with breakfast, especially with the homemade baking. The drying room was great and the onsen was a great addition after a day on the slopes. We will definitely be back!

A 10-minute drive from Hakuba Happo-One Winter Ski Resort, Pension Tomato offers spacious Western-style rooms with a loft area. Free WiFi is available at the entire property and guests can reserve a private open-air bath overlooking the forest. A free shuttle is available from JR Hakuba Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking. Forest views are available from the 2nd floor of the accommodation. Love it. Super friendly hosts who helped us a lot, offered to pick us up, take us to hire gear at echoland (with discount at affiliated store), take us to deliver our luggage and send us to the station upon checking out. Booked restaurants for us too since we didn't have a local phone number. Thank you so much! Great accommodation, very cosy and nice atmosphere, vending machine inside, 2 onsen rooms (one of which has an outdoor onsen too, very nice in the snow) which can be used privately by booking each day. Drying room for ski gear is very convenient. Short walking distance (<5 min) to free local bus stop to goryu, happo, iwatake and also to echoland base camp for the hakuba valley shuttle. Buses only run a few each day and finish pretty early, best to not miss the last one as getting a taxi can be a pain! Breakfast needs to be booked by 10am from the previous day, but it's amazing, highly recommended.

Each accommodation at the 2-star ryokan has quiet street views, and guests can enjoy access to a public bath. The ryokan features family rooms. We had an incredible stay here. The rooms were nice and authentic, the traditional breakfast was amazing and the personnel were the nicest people ever. When we had to call them to tell them we were gonna be late for check in, they said they will pick us up at the bus station. And they offered to drive us around many times. They were super nice and made our stay even better.

After a day of hiking, skiing or cycling, guests can relax in the garden or in the shared lounge area. Overall the place exceeded our expectations. The whole place is spotless and our room is huge and very clean :) What made this place the best among the places we stayed in Japan is "Kiko". He is the caretaker of the place and he made sure that we are taken care of. From making our breakfast every morning and made sure the place are very clean and amazing. There is also a private onsen in which you can enjoy by yourself :) I would highly recommend this place and would stay there again if I return in Hakuba. The only downside is the distance of the bus stop which is around 15-20 mins walk, but Kiko again save us by driving us around. 11/10

Three of us stayed here for 5 days. We had the best time! The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable with great facilities, including a storage area for all of our ski and snowboard gear. There’s also a bus station right down the street that takes you to Iwatake (which you can then transfer to another bus that takes you to every resort.) The best part were the owners — they were so kind and welcoming even though we did not speak Japanese. They cooked us breakfast and dinner and both were so delicious. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay😁

The chalet has an outdoor fireplace and a hot tub. Lovely and cosy lodge close to the action in Hakuba. All details were perfect. Loved the touch of the illustrated postcards left as a gift for each of our guests!
