This hotel features a hot tub, a ski drying room and shared lounge and laundry facilities. This was a really great find. We weren't expecting much in terms of service, given it's remote location, but we were pleasantly surprised. The property was lovely and the food was excellent. Our room backed onto the outside of the bar, and I was worried about noise, as they had music playing outside, but this went of at 9pm on the dot. There were also signs to say they didn't tolerate noise after 9pm, which we were really grateful for. The only thing I would mention was we were encouraged to book for dinner before we got there, but this wasn't really necessary as you can order at the bar. Actually, there were more choices of food at the bar, including basics like nachos, which were cheaper than the restaurant. Dinner was excellent tho, and the portions were big.

Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. Set on 2 acres of gardens featuring native trees, tulips, roses and fruit trees, the spacious grounds include a covered BBQ area with picnic tables.

The children’s playground has a trampoline and swings. Guests can relax in the wooden hot tub, which features views of the gardens and mountains (charges apply). Definitely the best motel I stay in New Zealand, I will book here again if I come back to Wanaka！！

Commodore Airport Hotel Christchurch features spacious rooms, conference/meeting facilities and plenty of free car parking. The award-winning native gardens provide a peaceful atmosphere. I truly recommend the hotel. Good service forth and back to the airport. We got large, clean and excellent room. Good service, helpful and kind. Definitely will return to this place

Located in Twizel, Ben Ohau Villa provides accommodation with private pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. With garden views, this accommodation offers a patio. The villa has a picnic area and a hot tub. Location was private. Not a bad drive to Mt Cook.

Featuring a restaurant, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Guests can use the hot tub, or enjoy mountain views. Omg…amazing place. All should stay here and visit Lyttelton. Which is about 10min drive from here. Tons of amazing hikes. Such a sweet location.

Guests can take in the views of the sea from the balcony, which also has outdoor furniture. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. Stunning location, amazingly comfy bed, lots of unexpected extras, colourful and tasteful decor.

The guest house is equipped with a flat-screen TV. The kitchenette comes with a microwave, a toaster and a fridge and there is a private bathroom with bathrobes and a hair dryer. The property has an outdoor dining area. Exceptional hideaway which we will certainly visit again. The hosts were extremely thoughtful in how everything was planned and we could not have wished for more.

The luxury tent provides lake views and an outdoor fireplace. Beautifully crafted studio chalet sitting right on a lovely lake. Everything was very well thought out

At the bed and breakfast, all units come with a outdoor furniture. A microwave, a toaster and fridge are also provided, as well as a kettle. The units include a private bathroom, a hair dryer and bed linen. We absolutely loved everything about our stay at this unique cabin. Such a brilliant location with the most special view (even when we had a bit of rain on our final morning) and incredible surroundings. Photos really cannot do this place justice - it’s just beautiful and the little patio area is perfect for enjoying some outside time in this part of the world. This cabin offers a really unique and cosy stay, and we would definitely recommend. Having spent five weeks travelling around NZ and staying in many different types of accommodation, this was the standout! We could not have asked for better or more friendly hosts either - thank you so much David and Sandy, especially for all your tips while in the area!

This place was our favorite stay in South Island during our 10 days trip there. It s clean, the view from the little balcony is amazing, it s quiet, location close to the downtown, the staff very helpful and kind. So happy to recommend it to anyone🤍
