Stepping into the lobby of this 1920s-inspired gem is like entering a portal to the glamorous past. The opulent decor, complete with art deco accents and jazz melodies, whisks you away to an era of sophistication. Impeccable service, friendly front of house staff, plush rooms adorned with period furnishings make it a stay that transcends time. A nod to the Roaring Twenties and Thirties, this hotel is a captivating blend of luxury and nostalgia, ensuring an unforgettable experience for any guest seeking a taste of vintage elegance. The staff at the front desk promptly provided us with toothpaste, toothbrushes, and umbrellas when we realized we had forgotten to pack them. Immersing ourselves in a Viennese breakfast within the captivating ambiance of a 1920s-style room was a truly enchanting experience. The breakfast spread, a symphony of Viennese flavors, unfolded amidst the vintage charm. From decadent pastries to exquisite coffee, each element exuded a timeless elegance. The fusion of delicious cuisine and the nostalgic atmosphere created a memorable morning that seamlessly blended culinary indulgence with the allure of a bygone era. Thanks go out to the exceptional team, with a special acknowledgment to the front-of-house staff, housekeepers, and Barflys' bar staff, as well as those at the breakfast restaurant. We'd choose to stay here again without hesitation.

I stayed two nights with my nephew and our stay was absolutely delightful. The hotel is charming and walking distance from the center and museum quarters. The subway stop is just next to the hotel making it super easy to get around. Our room was spacious and beautiful and it had a beautiful tub. The toiletries and the cleanliness top notch. I must say it has the services of a 5 star hotel. But the most special thing was Sandra from reception. She truly went beyond to make our stay more memorable. I had sent an email asking for an amenity for my nephew's birthday and she always answered promptly and with care and kindness. When we arrived (early) our room was ready and beautifully decorated with balloons which Sandra had made sure were of my nephews favorite colors and the cake. The extra touch of putting an extra heater just so we could find the room warm was really special. Her suggestions were excellent, and during our stay, she took so much care of us and always with a smile answered to all our requests. She is a true gem of the property. Sandra even took time to text us the best places to buy Sacher torte on our very last day and give us suggestions over the phone. You should hold on to her. Thank you so much, Sandra. We will most certainly come back. We didn't have the time to try the restaurant but we saw the ambiance and it was charming and elegant, next time we will for sure.

Schönbrunn Palace

With 1441 rooms, Schönbrunn Palace was made for sleepovers. Originally intended as a hunting lodge, visitors can revel in the 17th-century luxury of the Habsburg monarchs, to whom the word ‘opulence’ meant very little. The extensive gardens include the fabulous Gloriette (Franz Josef’s breakfast room) and Tiergarten Schönbrunn, the world’s oldest zoo.

Figure out how the trams works straight away by going to the information desk at the airport because you won’t find any help elsewhere and you need to be told how this works as it’s not obvious imo. The tram system is wonderful. I love Vienna. Also the Ubahn is extremely suitable for the disabled or semi- disabled person even with luggage.

I've been to Schonbrunn several times, and also the Carriage Museum and Zoo on the same site. It's a MUST SEE!! Read some of the history before your visit to help appreciate the palace. Be prepared to walk a lot and spend most of the day there. It's very easy to get there on the U-Bahn.

The carriage museum and zoo are both worth visiting. If you have a Vienna City card which allows you to travel on the tram, busses and Ubahn you can get discounts at this and many other places, sometimes as much as 20%

A great old historical house in excellent condition. Used in countless movies. The vast grounds are well worth seeing in their own right. The grounds and rear exterior were used as stand-ins for Vienna streets, and the hotel Bond and Miss Milovy stay at in 'The Living Daylights'. I feel the Broccolis liked Vienna!

The evening concert was great, but I suggest you don’t purchase it with the dinner included. Go to dinner on your own. There’s a nice little Italian restaurant across the street that was just delightful…and, please have some of their home made ice cream.

Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna is like stepping into a fairy tale. The building is stunning, and the gardens are like something out of a dream. It's got a really interesting history because it used to be a royal summer home. The tour inside the palace is great, and you can learn all about the people who lived there. Plus, it's in a good location, so you can easily get to other cool stuff in Vienna. The people who work there are friendly and helpful, and they give you a headset so you can explore at your own pace. Basically, if you're in Vienna, you've got to check out Schönbrunn Palace – it's a magical place filled with history and beauty.
