One of the best hotels I ever visited. The interior design, style and overall attention to detail both in the room and in the building was fantastic and the hotel was such a pleasure to stay at, superb cleanliness, really amazing style and room, great bar downstairs, I had truly wonderful time, would absolutely come back and would recommend. Especially for this price, fantastic.

We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel in Circular Quay and had amazing views of the Quay. In the daytime we would have a very pleasant walk around the Quay and along the coastline which led us to Sydney harbour, where we could easily hop onto a boat to visit other places like Manly beach. During the evenings we would visit the many lovely restaurant and bars around the Quay and admire the boats. It’s well worth a visit.

A must is the view from Circular Quay Railway station, its th best free view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Harbour and Opera House. (Local secret if you want an even better view) head towards the Oprah house as you get to the lsat ferry wharf under the Cahill express way you'll see a lift that looks like it goes nowhere, but it takes you up to the Cahill Expressway. from there you'll have 360 degree views of Sydney city, bridge and harbour.

Ferries, trains, trams, buses to anywhere you like. Download the public transport app to plan your trip. Oh and the bridge the opera house and if you're lucky one of those massive cruise ships will be in. They are like floating cities, quite a sight. There's usually some street entertainment in the area too.

It’s a bit of walking. Especially if you are going to the opera house as well. So travel light. If you have small kids (or a tired Grandma) take one of those fold up beach trolleys ($75 from Kmart) those things are priceless when lugging kids and stuff around! (And tired Grandmas)

Everything is a stone throw from the Quay view Opera House, walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Botanical Gardens, Lady Macquarie's Chair visit the historical Rocks have a beer in the oldest pubs in Sydney a few claim to be. Macquarie Street is a walk up the road there is an amazing amount of history in this street, the first signs from penal colony to a colony, might be best during the week where you can access some of the buildings. If none of that suits just sit and enjoy the worldof circular key coffee and watching the world go by

The location is fantastic as it’s right next to Circular Quay station and the Rocks. The partial Harbour view was lovely. When I checked in the staff were attentive and my room was available earlier than the published check in time. The window seat would have been brilliant for sitting and reading in the afternoon sun. The hotel provided my pillow request which was greatly appreciated. The Endota spa on site was exceptional. The lobby On the Go cafe was fantastic and the cakes delectable.

We loved the view and enjoyed getting the ferry to Circular Quay or the bus to Mosman. It is also a short walk to the Mosman Rowers for a drink on the terrace. I used to live in Australia and this was the same block I used to live in when I first moved to Australia.

The hotel was conveniently located. There is a bus right in front of the hotel. We caught the bus from Circular Quay and to Mascot train station to Sydney airport. Or it’s a 25 minutes leisure walk to Mascot. You can’t hear the noise from the bar in your room.

This Hotel has amazing views over-looking Sydney Harbour. It is within walking distance to Circular Quay, with great access to public transport, making it really easy to get about. The room was lovely, and the bed was really comfortable. We had access to the Horizon lounge, which was great value, we felt really looked after. We had a fantastic weekend!

Weekly train ticket is probably the cheaper option if you want to venture further afield than the CBD. However it is rather expensive and cost $84 for the weekly ticket, but this still was the cheaper option for us as we were visiting lots of places and we were only there for 4 days, so gave our ticket away to some others at the airport. The cost of staying in a hotel in the CBD was expensive as well. Wouldn't stay and dine in the CBD again because of the cost. We had dinner at one of the Circular Quay restaurants 'the Sydney Oyster Cove' and being a coeliac was excited to see gluten free on the menu, however my meal wasn't gluten free when it arrived just ruined the dining experience, especially considering the cost of the food and drinks.
