We had a pleasant boat trip from Sydney harbour over to Manly Beach, It was well worth the visit. Beautiful sands and a nice place to go for a drink/meal/walk around the shops. Much nicer than Bondi in our opinion.

Exactly what we were looking for! What better way to show off Sydney to a tourist than a trip on the Manly Ferry across the harbour on a sunny Spring day, followed by a stay at the iconic Hotel Steyne. The perfect view from the rooftop bar/restaurant above, overlooking the majestic Manly Beach and Corso, down to the choice of bars at street level. In the middle, accomodation including a well appointed reception area & balcony for guests.

If you want to go to Manly Beach in the summer, get the 9 am ferry - if a cruise ship is in, the later ferries are full and you might have to wait. They come every 20 minutes after 10, but you still would have to wait.
