Stayed in this district for a week and (for those who don't know) it is the gay village in Berlin. I'm not gay but an ally... I worked in the gay community for an Aids charity for 6 years, and pride myself on being un-shockable. However, let's just say I was shocked. Staff were very friendly, especially in the breakfast room, and the essential facilities are all good. The rooms are compact but have baths - unusual these days - which could be a big plus for some people. Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety.
