The style of the hotel is of old fashioned opulence in the modern day. Beautifully attired, staff excellent throughout from the reception to breakfast. Smoking room and piano bar, easy to think its the 1920's. Will be coming back to this hotel

What a delightful hotel! Each room is dedicated to a different German author. Books are in each room - in German of course, but we live in the age of online and AI translators. Breakfast was wonderful. Located near the train station and just a few blocks from the old part of Freiburg. It was especially convenient to explore the Christmas markets spread throughout the town. Limited underground parking available.
