The staff are so sweet, helpful and very welcoming from the moment you arrive (especially the cute girl when we checked in, who reminded me of Dakota J!) and best of all, the all-round feel is ultimately casual! The rooms are awesome - actually, a spacious fully furnished apartment with a supercomfy bed upstairs and all the perks and necessities : 2 TV's, a record player, a wicked sound box, a guitar (!) safety deposit box, full-sized refrigerator, hob, oven and a magnificent minibar plus the famous beer fridge in the bathroom! Everywhere is kept fantastically clean including the bar and dining area. Breakfast options are wonderful and graciously filling - at times we would have actually preferred lighter options but hey, we were in holiday mode! We dined a couple of times as well, having enjoyed great burgers and chicken wings, both which we highly recommend. Ah yes... and the beer... extensive selection, spoilt for choice... infact, I write this review whilst enjoying a Punk IPA which I just bought from our local supermarket 😁

Holyrood Park

The vast, green expanse of Holyrood Park is best experienced from Arthur’s Seat, the park’s craggy peak and a long-dormant volcano. As you make your way up the winding paths, you’ll take in the delicate remains of the 15th-century St Anthony’s Chapel as well as the ruins of four 2,000-year-old hill forts.

Fabulous walking area, if you go up King Arthur's Seat the last section of the climb is very steep and rocky, please wear suitable footwear. St. Anthony's Chapel Ruins on Whinny Hill so worth a visit, great views.

We loved it here but we were really just walking through on our way to the Castle. Next time we go I would like to spend more time here. So lovely. Lots of benches to sit at. Beautiful views. Coffee shop for refreshments. Long queues though.

A must to visit if you have the time.

A must to visit if you have the time. A large area to chill out in and explore. When we lived in Edinburgh, we used to go there a lot with our young family. The energetic can go to the top of 'Arthur's Seat' for panoramic city views, or just go feed the ducks at the other end of the park.

When visiting the Park it is worth following the path around Holyrood, albeit it is 3.3 miles long, and one side is far steeper, but shorter than the other side, but the views of the City, from the top and side, and on clear days, Portobello harbour, the Firth of Forth, as well as the Rail and Road Bridges at Queensferry, is well worth the effort, and of course exercise!

Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 65 reviews
This was a clean and comfortable little apartment in a quiet area close to the centre of Edinburgh. In particular, the kitchen had everything required for a self-sufficient holiday. As a ground floor apartment, it provided easy access. The apartment is situated at the base of Arthurs Seat with easy access to Holyrood Park. It has close proximity to shops and restaurants, and was an easy 15-minute walk to the centre of Edinburgh. The host provided good communication prior to and during our visit. Excellent value for money.

Enjoyed the warm hospitality and the comfy bed, particularly after 4 nights out at gigs! Lovely vegan breakfast made for us, too. It's on a quiet street but a short walk to a bus stop which takes you into town. Also, a short walk to Holyrood Park.

Good - What previous guests thought, 98 reviews
There were two of us, and each of us had our own comfy bedroom and bathroom. The downstairs lounge and kitchen were also really nice. And the view out our bedrooms and the kitchen featured Arthur's Seat, which is a pretty impressive sight. We had a car that we were able to park in the nearby parking garage for free, and the location of the flat is only a short walk to Old Town, Holyrood Park, the Royal Mile, and basically anything one might want to see as a visitor.
