Everything opens on the later side.

Everything opens on the later side. So don’t rush getting up early to shop. You can enjoy getting up leisurely and even sleeping in a bit. Then find a good parking a walk around everywhere in town. We stay on this street so it was very convenient. Perfect actually!

A mix of the mundane and eclectic.

A mix of the mundane and eclectic. Certainly the main shopping tourist strip and worth it to walk its length and get a feel for urban Iceland before encountering the awesome natural landscapes of Iceland. Expensive for day to day commodities but that's standard throughout the country.
